Enrichment Duties

I had an Enrichment meeting this afternoon. It was weird to have a church meeting in the middle of the day. It sure made me feel like an adult, and a true stay at home wife/soon to be Mom. It was fun though. The committee is great, with awesome ladies. We planned the final details of our Enrichment Activity that is on the 18th of this month. I am super excited for this activity. I know, that sounds weird because normally I am the last person to be excited about ANY Enrichment Activity. But, I have decided to make a new found love of Enrichment. Mostly because I am in a family ward now and Enrichment tends to be more successful in Family wards. Also because this is going to be the first activity that I am actually able to go to since we have moved into the ward. It has either been our anniversary, or David's birthday, or I've been sick or out of town. So, I feel like this is my own personal induction into the ward. :)
Anyway, so at the meeting today I got a little too over-zealous and volunteered to do the Foyer Poster Publicity Posters (after the person that was asked was not able to). As soon as I said it my thought was,
"What the CRAP are you thinking. You are the most Non-Crafty person in the world." But alas, I was trying to be helpful. So after the meeting Lindsay (a new friend from the ward, as of today) told me that I could call her if I needed any help. So I got her number. Being the independent person that I am, I decided to head to the Dollar Store to see what I could come up with. It was there that it hit me again, "What the CRAP are you thinking. You are the most Non-Crafty person in the world." So, I swallowed my pride and I called Lindsay. She was mor than willing to help. Although not before she added a disclaimer of, "I'm not so crafty either. But I guess two minds are better than one. :)" So I went and got her and we headed back to the $ store. Together we came up with AWESOME ideas. After a stop at Wal-Mart for some paper we headed back to my apartment to put it all together. And, after3-hours of cutting, gluing, talking, cutting some more, gluing some more, getting to know each other by more talking, a trip to Dana's and various placement ideas, this is what we came up with...

This Is The One That Lindsay Did
Cute huh! YAY Lindsay, You Are CraftyThis Is The One I Did
I know right, it actually looks presentable!
Lindsay and I had a lot of fun working on this project. We are somewhat worried now though that we may have done so well that they will want us to do the next one. We wouldn't be so worried if it wasn't for the fact that we think we have exhausted our years worth of craftiness. So I guess we'll have to just wait and see what happens. Until then, we will for sure be relishing in our accomplishment with this project. :) Oh wait, I have to make 3 cobblers for the activity. Hmmmm, I do remember Lindsay saying she would help with that. She might be regretting that offer soon. :)
