4 years ago today...

I returned from an amazing 18-month mission in the "Micronesia Guam Mission". What an amazing time that was on the BEAUTIFUL islands of the North Pacific. I met some amazing and wonderful people, and many of them I have been blessed to still be in touch with. I absolutely loved my mission, and the wonderful memories that it blessed me with. It was truly an adventure that helped my testimony to grow so much more than I could have ever imagined. I can't wait for David and I to have the opportunity to serve a couple mission together. Those will be some amazing times.
This is a picture from the Beautiful Island of Pohnpei
where I was able to spend 11 months of my mission,
as well as serve with Seana (Aivaz) Garber who is now one of my Best friends.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!

David and I spent the weekend in Tigard with his family. We headed up yesterday afternoon and spent some time with his Sister and her family. Then we played games in the evening with his parents and siblings. It was fun. This afternoon we went to David's parents ward and His parents spoke, as well as his little Sister. It was really good. Then this evening we had a big family dinner, and hung out with the family. We got home here around 9:15 and now we are just hanging out.
Easter came so early this year, it was hard to really get into the mode of it. However, without fail, at church the true meaning of Easter came out so strong in the talks. I was reminded of the wonderful sacrifice that the Lord made for me, and each one of us. And even more importantly, I was reminded that although he died for our sins, he lives again so we can live again. I am grateful that because of my Elder Brother, Jesus Christ, I can return to live with Him and My Father in Heaven again. What a wonderful season this is. :)

This is a flower arrangement that my Mother-in-law
made for all of the girls today.
I LOVE IT!

Last NIght's American Idol

Alright, the final three from last night...
Carly - What the CRAP was America thinking? She is one of the BEST on the dang show. What a bunch of idiots out there.
Kristy- Yeah, she can pretty much set up camp in the bottom three. Although, I hope she doesn't get too comfortable because I don't think she'll be there much longer because she'll get booted next week probably unless she BLOWS everyone away.
Amanda- It's about DANG time they get her in the bottom three. She only has one kind of song she can sing. And it is ALWAYS obnoxious.
So, of those three, for those of you who didn't watch, Amanda was booted. YAY! I hated her hair and her voice.
Oh, and we can't let last night go without talking about Kellie Pickler's performance. Sure do love her, and I think it's hillarious how Ryan Seacrest can always somehow seem to get a plug in about her new boobs. Hillarious!
So, next Tuesday evening, after the performance show, everyone needs to vote who they think should be voted off next week. Until then... Seacrest Out!

Peep Show

Som May Find This Inappropriate, However, I Found It Pretty Funny! :)

Target Interview

David has his interview with Target tomorrow for the Management Training Position in the Distribution Center. He seems very calm about it, but I know that he would LOVE to have the security of a job. So please keep us in your prayers tonight that everything will go well for him. After the interview tomorrow evening he has an Elders Quorum activity full of food and March Madness. I know he is looking forward to that after the week he has had. This was finals week, and with the interview at the end it's been a loooooooong hard week and tomorrow evening will be well deserved for him. I think I am going to watch a movie...any ideas on a movie I should rent? I was thinking of renting Enchanted...

Only 13 Sundays Left

Until David graduates! YAY! Today I thought of all of the different things that I can use to countdown the time until David graduates and we get to move on with life outside of Corvallis. So, here is what I came up with.

13 Sundays
5 More Holidays (St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Mothers Day, My Birthday Memorial Day)
1 Trip to California
2 Weeks of finals (for David)
1 Dead week (for David)
3 Married Activities at Church
2 Friends having babies
And, I can't remember all of the other stuff that I came up with. But, if I look at it that way, it doesn't seem as long as thinking of it as 3 months (from yesterday). :)

Now, as excited as I am to move from Corvallis I do have to say that I have made alot of good friends here in town. I have also had some good times and made some good memories. I hope that wherever David and I end up we will be able to keep in touch with the friends that we have made and hopefully once in awhile get together somewhere... just not Corvallis. :)

American Idol Update

Okay, so David and I sometimes don't catch American Idol until the next day because we record it. That is what happened this week. So we got around to watching it finally this evening. The bottom three consisted of:
Syesha - We're not a huge fan of hers. But, we didn't think she was so bad last night that she should be in the bottom three.
Kristy - She is one of David's favorites, mostly because she is from Oregon. I don't think she is all that great.
David H. - Again, not a huge fan, but David and I would have preferred that Ramiele was in the bottom three.
The person that left American Idol last night was...
DAVID HERNANDEZ, not a huge disappointment, but I can't argue much since I don't vote. David is glad that Kristy was not voted off. We'll see how they do next week.
Stay tuned for an update next week.

Look-A-Like's

So, a couple of my brothers have pointed out to me, since I posted my new hair picture, how much I look like my Mom. So I thought I would post a picture of my Mom and I side by side so you could all see. The only head on picture I could find ofher is with my goof ball nephew Jacob. If you ask me, I think she's beautiful! :) Love you Mom!

Here is a better picture of us from my wedding day. You can really see it in this picture. I'm curious what everyone thinks. Let me know. :)

Target Update

David got a call from Target today, finally, to schedule the interview. He will be going next Friday, the 21st, and interviewing. Apparently it is a four hour process. Poor guy, but what can you do. We'll let you all know how it goes. Wish us (him) luck! :)

American Idol Votes

Sorry, I made a mistake on the poll last week and accidentally left Alaina on it instead of Syesha. So, anyone who has already voted make sure to vote again. "K" And, just so everyone knows, David is TOTALLY pulling for Kristy Lee Cook. Pretty much only because she is from Oregon, we all know that she is not the BEST singer. :)

Hot New Hair

Seeing as it is close to Spring Time, I thought it is time for a new hair-do! I absolutely love it because it is short, off my neck and easy to do. I went to a place here in town that I actually really like. It was my first time there, but I love it. I am only bummed that I found it 3 months before we are leaving so I will probably only go back once, unless I can convince David that I NEED to get highlights before my family's big Family Picture. :) We'll see. This isn't the best picture of it. This was in the parking lot outside of the salon. I took a picture with my phone to send to my Mom and sisters-in-law. I didn't color it at all, but for some reason it looks darker. I hope you all enjoy, let me know what you think. :)

Target...My Dreams Could Be Coming True

David has an interview with Target Distribution Management next week. YAY! He is pretty excited about it, as well as I. I'm excited for a number of reasons
1) This is something that is of interest to David and he might enjoy.
2) This could end up defining where we are moving to this summer.
3) AMAZING discount at Target... hopefully (this is the dream coming true part. I mean really an amazing employee discount. I LOVE TARGET)
So you see, there are a number of reasons that this could be good. But, if no job comes of it, at least it is a good experience to interview and sharpen those skills. We will definitely keep everyone posted on how things go. Keep us in your prayers. Love you all!

American Idol

I want to know who everyone thinks should be voted off American Idol this week. David and I watch it all the time, I know we are lame. But we love it! So, I am taking a weekly poll to see if our results are the same as the actual results. Let me know what you guys think. "K"

It's Official! We Are P...

icking out what kind of dog we want! Ha! Ha! Ha! I wonder how many of you thought I was going to say we are pregnant! I'm sneaky! No really though. David has wanted a bull dog for so long and at first I wanted nothing to do with a bull dog. Then I saw the Petco commercial with the most adorable English Bulldog and I fell in love. So now, we both want to get an English Bulldog, or any Bulldog for that matter as soon as we have a house. We have been looking online to see the different kinds and I found this picture of a beautiful Bulldog so I thought I would share it with you. Hopefully one day you can all come to our house and play with our Bulldog. I don't know what we would name him though, so we need you all to comment us with your ideas.

P.S. Katie and Brad we can have our Bulldog come and play with Budha and Guiness. YAY!

Hilarous Web Site

Everyone needs to go to gizoogle.com. It is the FUNNIEST site in the world. You can type in a web page and it will translate it into Ebonics. I seriously about died. David and I laughed until we cried when we were reading some of the web pages. Unfortunately it drops a few swear words once in awhile, but otherwise it's hysterical. Check it out. There is a link to it on the right side of our blog. Have fun! Let me know what you all think. ;)
