Halloween

Is this not the cutest Beaver you have ever seen…Week of 10-26-09 (15) Week of 10-26-09 (19)The tale was one of our favorite parts! :)

Well, Tucker’s first Halloween was a TOTAL success! We started our festivities on Friday morning at David’s work. Tucker and I headed over there about 3:00. We weren’t sure exactly how Tucker would do, but we were pleasantly surprised. He quickly caught on to what was inside all of the bowls…

Week of 10-26-09 (16)He would not leave a bowl without having a piece of candy for each hand. Then, between each bowl we would have to pry the candy from his hands. He would suck on the candy and then if we didn’t get it from his hands fast enough, he would drop the sucked on candy in the bowl in exchange for a fresh piece.  So we had it down to a science by the end! :) Of course, Tucker was the hit of the office. Everyone who is a Beaver fan thought it was the greatest costume, and even those who are Duck fans thought he was the cutest! And, in true Tucker style he turned on the charm pretty thick when anyone talked to him. However, towards the end he started to get really HOT and tired so before we had a major melt down we headed home. We ended the night at a party at the Rudolph’s where, unfortunately, we did experience a melt down. So Tucker, David and I headed home for some much needed rest.

Saturday we woke up and started a new tradition… Donuts for breakfast on Halloween. I’m a HUGE fan of this new tradition! :) In the afternoon our friends Kim, Chris and Hannah Blevins came up for the afternoon. Hannah is so freaking cute. We hadn’t seem them since July when Hannah was blessed, and it was so fun to see how big she has gotten. Here are some cute pictures of Tucker and Hannah in their costumes…

Around 7:00 we took Tucker around to a few homes of people that we go to church with. We started in the Bishop’s neighborhood and apparently that is the place to trick-or-treat. It was so much fun because EVERYONE was into it. It was so fun to see the look on Tucker’s face as he saw people that he recognized and they gave him candy. He was in HEAVEN watching all of the kids out on the streets. We stopped at Erin and Bruce’s house and let Tucker stand at the door by himself…Week of 10-26-09 (35)

Week of 10-26-09 (36) He got pretty excited when Erin opened the door and he realized where he was. I don’t think she even had a chance to give him any candy before he was inside running around with Chase.  Chase was dressed as a pretty darn cute little Super Man… (Tucker is slowly starting to fade in this picture)

Week of 10-26-09 (40) The day and night were a HUGE success. David and I are SO excited for next  year. Tucker is going to be SO much fun! He was starting to grasp things this year, so we can only imagine how it’s going to be next year. Maybe we’ll have to get Chase and Tucker on the doors together next year… we might have to find a double trouble costume for them! :)
