Christmas was so much fun this year. We were in Tigard, OR with David's family and we had so much fun. We headed up Friday after work and came home last night. Saturday we had a fun day of making Ginger Bread Houses, and eating a ton of yummy food. We also watched the BYU game. Dave made a bet with our brother-in-law Ryan that BYU would lose. If David won, then Ryan had to wear David's shirt to school that says "It's not east being easy". That would have been REALLY funny because Ryan is in dental school. ;) But, since David lost (in an AMAZING save by BYU) he has to wear on of Ryan's BYU shirts to school on the first day. Those crazy boys! David and I had so much fun with our nephews. We have three on his side, Riley (3) Teddy (1) and Joshua (1). They are super cute! Teddy was making David and I laugh on Saturday because he was being so lovey and wanted to talk to us about everything he saw. It was so cute! Riley was happy as could be with the present that his Grandma and Grandpa got him. He loves trains, and it was some sort of train thing that I think every kid for a 50 mile radius would know what it is. Joshua was a little munchie just walking around being such a people watcher. It was so cute.
Sunday we went to David's parents ward and then came home and had lunch. After lunch we played a game of Rummy and I WON! It was GREAT! After cards I had to head home so I could be at work Monday morning. Really lame but I survived. Monday afternoon when I got back to David's parents house, David and I went with his Dad to go and buy a new 42" Vizio tv, and...shocker... David talked him into getting a new DVD player and a movie. It was fun to tag along. We had a nice family dinner on Christmas Eve which consisted of a delicious Ham and yummy trimmings. Then, we had a nice family game of Wii bowling. It was so fun. My Mother-in-law dominated over everyone. She's pretty good. :) Christmas morning we got up and everyone opened their gifts. Among everything that David and I got was FINALLY I got my KitchenAid mixer, and to top it off I got a cookie jar to go along with it. Each of those gifts were from our parents, hmmmmmm, I wonder if they conspired? Oh, we also go a surprise gift... WE HAD A WHITE CHRISTMAS! It was so much fun. I was laying on the couch watching a movie, and my brother-in-law comes in and tells us all to look out the window. I was SO excited to see snow coming down. It did not come in huge amounts, and it only stayed for about 2 hours, but that was long enough for me to LOVE it. My mother-in-law, sister-in-law and I got all bundled up in some silly snow gear and went and tromped around their back-yard (it's like a forrest back there), and then we decided to walk down to a bridge near their home. It was so much fun. I had a blast.
All in all, Christmas was great. Very relaxing and enjoyable. One of my favorite things this Christmas was my own personal goal to remember the Savior this time of year. Every year I get wrapped up in all of my Christmas shopping and the "Holiday Cheer" and don't seem to remember te true meaning of Christmas as much as I should. This year I tried to focus alot on what an important time of year this is, and the affect that it has had on my life. I wish that all year long everyone would focus on the Savior as much as we do at Christmas time. I can only imagine what a better place the world would be. I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and you were all able to enjoy your family and the celebration of the birth of the Savior as much as I did.

Hey Jenn! It is so fun to catch up and read how you have been! Glad to hear you had a great Christmas!
How come you never comment on my blog anymore? Just kidding. Um, I sure do love you. You should live here. Or I should live there. Or, how this? Pohnpei? In the Kolonia apartment? Think about it. I miss you and love you.
