Weekend Events

I have really been looking forward to this weekend for SO long. About two months ago I decided that it is about time that David and I get away for the weekend just the two of us. Since our honeymoon we have sure gone away a lot... to visit my family, or his family or our friends. We haven't gone away just the two of us. So, I poked around online and came up with this awesome hotel on the coast called Ashley Inn and Suites. I got an amazing rate and we are going this weekend. I am thrilled to be getting away. We are going to leave Saturday morning and drive to Newport and eat lunch at a restaurant called Georgies that we found when we were out there in January with David's best friend Scott and Scott's now wife Abbie. It was so yummy and David LOVED the clam chowder in a bowl. After we enjoy that we will make our way up the coast a little further to Lincoln City and check into our hotel where we have a room with an ocean view. Now, I have told a number of people about this room and they mock saying that we will have an amazing view of the storm. Now while that is true, they don't understand how much I love to sit inside and watch a storm outside. It is so awesome to me. Moving on, Lincoln City is known a lot for it's amazing outlet stores and quaint shops. So, depending on the weather we may go and check some of them out. But, if it is poopy weather we will just veg out in our hotel room. It will be GLORIOUS! We are turning off our cell phones, and just being us. It will be great.
Friday night we are going to a Christmas party with our friends that I have also been looking forward to. I love this time of year with all of the opportunities to get together with a large group of friends and just spend time with one another. It is SO awesome. I am sure that when we get back from our weekend I will have lot's of pictures and stories to share. I hope that everyone else has a good weekend as well.
