Christmas Party

On Friday night David and I went to a Christmas party with a bunch of our friends. It was an Ugly Sweater themed party. Neither of us wore an ugly sweater because we pretty much didn't have time to go and find one. Oh well! We did have a good time though. Everyone brought a dessert so I made some rice crispy treats and added crushed up candy canes with chocolate chips. They were delicious... at least I think they were, I didn't take a pole at the party. We also had to bring a white elephant gift. I thought I was really clever with ours. I bought a box of chocolates and broke each of them in half with a fork. I wrapped the original box with half the chocolates in it, and then another box with the other halves in it. The best part was at the party, the first of the two that was opened was the one in a random box. The person who opened it really thought that it was half eaten chocolate. :) I thought it was extremely clever, everyone else thought so also once they found out it wasn't really half eaten. :) David and I walked away with an electric knife (some people went all out with their gifts) and I got a candy thing of mini M&M's. So, it wasn't too bad! Oh, I also got some candles that another person didn't want. :)
