Happy New Year
I just realized that I still haven't posted about our New Year Celebrations. My whole family (minus one brother and family because he had sick daughters) congregated to Las Vegas, NV where two of my brothers live. We flew out Friday morning, the 28th, and returned New Years Day late in the evening. We had so much fun with the family. Their was a lot of good food, as there always is in Vegas, and lot's of fun sites. I was able to go shopping with my sisters-in-law and Mom, and David was able to hang out and watch football with my brothers all day every day there was a game on. He was in heaven. On New Years Eve Day we went to lunch with some family to Red Robin. Yes, we all LOVE Red Robin, I think we should buy stock in it. Anyway, lunch there was fun. After lunch David and I took the opportunity to walk through the mall for awhile since the closest mall we have to us at home is 40 miles away. Now, seeing as we were in Vegas one might think we party'd on the strip that night. Well, no we are not that stupid. On the news they there was an expected 6000 people to be on the strip that night. INSANE! So, instead we hung out at my brothers house and watched some guy make a motorcycle jump on TV the length of 322ft. It was pretty cool. One of my brothers was sick, and another one had to go home before midnight to get his little ones in bed. So, at around 10:45 David, Rachel (my sister-in-law), Bryan (my brother), Monica (my sister-in-law, Bryan's wife), My Mom and I all sat down to a ROARING game of Skip Bo. Anyone who hasn't played that game, it is a lot of fun. My Dad sat on the couch and watched some old Western movie. At about 11:45, Dave (the sick brother) came downstairs and joined Dad on the couch. So the rest of us went into the family room with them to celebrate the new year at 11:59. Then, at 12:05 we were back to Skip Bo. It was not too eventful but a lot of fun. New Years day I went shopping with my sisters-in-law and My Mom, then we picked David up and headed to the airport to come home. We had so much fun, and can't wait to make it out to Vegas again. :)
