David and I were driving home from Woodburn yesterday after buying Tucker his first pair of useful tennis shoes, and we commented on how FAST this week has gone by. We then started discussing how quickly the month has gone by. The beginning of this month I said to David, “It seems like July was the longest month EVER! I really felt like it was never going to end.” And now, here we are at the end of August already. Where has the time gone. So crazy! August has been a great and relaxing month though, so hopefully September is the same.
Last Wednesday Tucker and I went to a play date at Joo Lin and Seol’s house. Some other friends were there too; Gavin, Randy and Audrey. It was fun to sit and watch the kids play and visit with my own friends. At one point Tucker was trying to get to me and mowed over Seol, she wasn’t very happy but she forgave him. Here are a few pictures from the day…
On Thursday, Tucker and I drove up to the Temple with our friends Kristi and Gavin. David and I had some good friends get sealed to their 2-adopted children so I was able to be there for that. I was also able to see some of our friends from Corvallis whom we haven’t seen for awhile. It was fun for them to see Tucker and how much he has grown. Tucker and Gavin played outside the Temple with Alex Morgan while Kristi and I were inside. Here’s a cute picture of the future missionaries…
After the Temple Krist, Alex and I took the boys to Claim Jumper and enjoyed good conversation and delicious food. Tucker and Gavin enjoyed sitting in the high chairs like the Kings that they are. :)
This week we decided it was time for Tucker to try some spaghetti. HE LOVES IT! And apparently so does his face…
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, we bought some real shoes for Tucker. He is starting to walk ALL around furniture now and he is very close to taking a few steps. So we thought we should get some shoes for him. We found a great deal at stride right, and it’s a good thing because we had to get him a 6 Extra Wide, yes my son has HUGE feet. Looks like we’ll have to keep looking for deals for him. :) Here’s a picture of him in his new kicks, and a new shirt I found for him for .50 at a garage sale yesterday morning. :) He also got his first balloon yesterday while we were out, he loved it.
Finally, our little man is mastering his balance and able to stand on his own longer and longer now. It’s so bitter sweet. Like I said, he’s so close to taking steps, but hopefully it’s still a few weeks off. We got this picture of him after church today. He looks so old in this picture. He looks bowlegged also, but he just has a really full diaper. :)
Tomorrow Tucker and I leave to California for 2-weeks. I am very excited to be able to spend so much time with my family, but it will be hard to be away from David for so long. Hopefully all will go well and when we get home Tucker will fall right back into his schedule. I’ll try to post some picture of Tucker and all of his cousins half way through the trip. :)

He is getting so big! Can't wait to see you! Hopefully Noah will have arrived and you can actually meet him-this kid is so much more Elkington than Ethan-full on stubborn!
It's so amazing how fast they grow!! He is sooo handsome Jen!!
Love the little man shot. Can't wait to see you two!b
Thank you so much for all of the baby clothes! Wow- they are really going to help. My mom sent them with my in-laws who flew in this week. We hadn't kept anything after Corom because I didn't think we'd have a baby so soon. Thanks again! Hope you are enjoying your trip. Nothing like going home. I never want to leave when I go back there!
