Merry Christmas To All

Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year. Nothing can put me in a good mood like Christmas music can. And fortunately, one of my gifts this year was Faith Hills new Christmas album and it is beautiful. It's amazing how a child can change your view on so many things. I looked forward to Christmas morning so that David and I could lay in bed with Tucker and spend time as a family. And we got to do just that. I looked forward to opening gifts to see how excited David got for what I bought for him with our Christmas money (a blue ray player). I looked forward to calling my parents and my brothers and their families to see how their Christmas was. I looked forward to spending the day with David and Tucker, my own little family. I looked forward to everything that Christmas entails. My favorite part of Christmas will probably seem rather silly to everyone else but it meant a lot to me. My favorite part of Christmas was when I was alone with Tucker in the bedroom changing his diaper. I was talking to him like I always do and he was looking at me and being very smiley. So I proceeded to tell him all about Christmas and why we celebrate Christmas. I am sure that he didn't understand much of what I was saying but he sure was excited to hear all about it. He was smiley and kicking his arms and legs all around. It was so fun. I hope that every year I have the opportunity to sit down with Tucker and his siblings as they come, and talk to them about why we celebrate Christmas.
I love Christmas this year because I was able to have my own family. Tucker has brought so much joy into our home. For the sake of sounding cheesey, he truly is the best Christmas gift, even though he came 5 weeks earlier than Christmas. :) I love being his Mommy. I love that when he gets fussy, I can pick him up and he calms down. I am finally starting to feel like he knows me and nothing anyone could buy me could be better than that.
I hope that everyone had a great Christmas with friends and family. And I hope that you all head into the New Year with good goals and great memories of 2008. :)

Tucker Says, "Merry Christmas Yo!"
