Well sort of. I just have to share with everyone how proud of myself I am. I went to get the oil changed in the car today. Now, we all know that they love to suck you dry for all you are worth. I am pretty good about just saying No when I know that it is BS that they are telling me. So for the last 2 years or so the have been telling me that my cabin air filter is filthy and needs to be changed. I always say that I don't want to deal with it and I'll do it next time. Well this time they showed it to me and it was practically black and gross. There were leaves and junk all stuck inside of it and it was just yucky. So I was about to give in when I asked him how much it will cost me. He replies with, "Well, since I carry them in stock it will only be $49.99." Um, YEAH RIGHT! So I politely declined...again. I was pretty irritated that they wanted to charge me DOUBLE the cost of the oil change alone to install a filter. So when I left Jiffy Lube I headed over to Napa auto parts to find out how much the air filter costs. Yeah, $19.97. Yup, I'm not great with math but they wanted to charge me about $30.00 to install it. LAME! So the guy at Napa opened the box and installation instructions were included. It looked easy enough, so I purchased the filter and headed out to the car. I decided to change it in the parking lot in case anything really bad went wrong. Let me tell you, that is the EASIEST thing to do in the world. They wanted to charge me $30.00 to pop the glove box out, squeeze two tabs and pull out the old filter, then replace and close everything up. SERIOUSLY! Come on people. Anyway, so I save myself $30.00 today and was pretty darn proud of myself. :)
