Happy Birthday To Me...

So yesterday was my birthday and it was a good day. My whole family called me to wish me a Happy Birthday. I think that is the one major thing that I look forward to every birthday. Ever since I can remember everyone in my family has made a point to call each other on our birthdays. It's so much fun. I think that sometimes it's somewhat of a competition to see who can call first, but not be so early that you wake the birthday person up. Normally my Dad is the VERY first person to call and he ALWAYS sings Happy Birthday. It's fun. Yesterday though, my brother Bryan was the first one to call bright and early at 8:10 am. He obviously forgot that I am pregnant and don't work, therefore 8:10 is now the equivalent to 6:10. :) It was okay thought because he was wishing me a Happy Birthday. :) My brother Mike called me about 30 minutes later and sang to me with his wife and little girls, and then came my Dad at 9:00. He told me that he was being nice and waiting so I could sleep in. What a good Dad. My brother Dave called me at 10:00 asking if he was being the only courteous one to wait until a decent time. At least that is what he said. :) My brother Dan called me in the afternoon. He said he was going to wait until after work, and then he realized that I don't do that silly thing called work. :) Good ol' Dan. Oh and don't forget Mom. She text me 7:50 and said she would call me later. And we talked a few times throughout the day.
David came home between classes to spend some time with me. He gave me my gift and I loved it. I'm all about the surprise factor in gifts. I hate it when he asks me what I want and then goes and gets that exact thing. So he did awesome this year and got me something TOTALLY random. See I am obsessed with the show on MTV called "Rob and Big". Now, don't judge me if you haven't seen the show because seriously, it is HILARIOUS! If you haven't seen it, you need to, I have added a clip at the bottom of this post for all to enjoy. :) Big reminds me of my brother Bryan. It is really funny. Anyway David got me the first two seasons on DVD, and I was really surprised and LOVED it. He had to go to class in the afternoon, and after class he took me to dinner at Applebees. Now I will probably never go to Applebees again because it just didn't taste good. I ordered a club sandwich, took two bites, and nothing else. I also ordered a side salad, took a couple of bites and wasn't impressed. But, fortunately, they didn't charge us for my order which was nice. But you know, it's just not the greatest place as it is. Oh well. Live and learn. I enjoyed my time with David. After dinner, we came home and watched the first season of "Rob and Big" and the season finale of "House". Then after I fell asleep on the couch half way through "House", David and I crawled into bed and fell fast asleep.
We didn't do a cake last night because as of right now I can't eat chocolate because it makes me sick to my stomach. So, David didn't want to get a cake and have it be one that I don't like. So maybe this week I'll make myself some Strawberry cupcakes this week like I used to make with my Grandma Hill so many years ago. Those were the BEST!
All in all, it was a good birthday. I told David today that I like it better when my birthday falls on a weekend. When he asked why I responded with, "Because then you are home all day and do everything for me." Hey, I can be completely spoiled one day a year!
