Happy Birthday Chelsey Lynn

Tomorrow, October 15th, my oldest niece, Chelsey Lynn, is turning 15 years old. It is crazy to me. She is Mike's oldest daughter (Mike is my oldest brother for those who don't know). I can still remember the night that I found out he was going to be a Daddy. We were all in my parents bedroom and they told us and all my brother Bryan and I could talk about was that we were going to be an Aunt and an Uncle. We pretty much just liked the idea of having a title. :-) I was SO excited when I found out that she was going to be a girl. I pretty much knew from day one. See, I am the youngest and only girl in my family. I would ALWAYS beg my Mom to have another baby in hopes that it would be a girl. I'm not going to lie, in looking back I am pretty darn glad that I was the youngest now! :-) Anyway, so I always wanted a Sister. So, knowing that I would now have a niece was way exciting. I was only 11 years old when she was born, so it was pretty much like having a sister, just not having to share EVERYTHING! :-) I remember the day she was born I was at school in Green Oaks Elementary school. We had a Jackir Robinson day that was SO much fun! I was playing on the black top when a office aid came out and handed me a note that said, "Chelsey Lynn Boehrer, 10:10 am." I was SO excited. I told me best friend at the time Kim Balog and we jumped up and down. I got to go and see her that day after school, and my brother handed her to me and I fell in love right away!
From day one Chelsey and I were buddies. I loved to babysit her. I remember the first time I got to babysit her by myself I thought it was the COOLEST thing ever. As she got into her toddler ages I love to do her hair and take her everywhere with me. I have always felt a special bond with Chelsey Lynn. I truly believe that she was meant to be a part of our family, and holds a special purpose here on earth.
As I look at her now as she turns 15, I can't help but wish for the best for her, and hope that she not only reaches the potential that she has but exceeds it! She is an amazing person! I look at her with her little sisters and how much they look up to her. I love to spend time with Chelsey. The little time that we get to spend together is awesome. It is great to have such a good open relationship with her. I hope that she knows how much she is loved by me, her Uncle David and the rest of her family.
We are hoping that Chelsey will get to come and stay with us the weekend before Thanksgiving. It would just be one more thing to add to the list. I used to always tell Chelsey that when I get married she will have to come and stay the night with my like I would stay at her house when she was younger. I also promised that when I have babies she will come and stay with me for a week to pay me back for all the times I watched her! :) It sure wasn't hard to get her to agree to that.
So Chelsey, I Love you Poopy! I hope you have a happy birthday and I can't wait to see you soon! :-)

Awesome 'tribute' Jenni. Chelsey is really close to you and we can see why.

Love you!
