Can someone tell how we went from this… to this?
I can’t believe how big Tucker is getting. I was talking to David this evening and I mentioned something about what we should do for his birthday this year. And I started to say, “We have quite awhile before we have to start thinking about that.” But, then I realized that is birthday is in 3-months. He is going to be 2-years old in 3-months. OH MY GOODNESS! I just don’t know how this happened. He has literally grown up right before my eyes. I am so glad that I have been able to be with him every step of the way. There are days that I want to just quit and go back to work because let me tell you, there are a LOT of days where working full time would be easier than being a stay at home Mom. But, nothing makes me happier than when Tucker…
* Accidentally spills something and goes right for the rag to clean it up
* Knows that I’m going to start dinner and he makes sure to show me where the pans are
* Knows right where the towels are after his bath.
* Shows me where the detergent goes when I am doing laundry.
* Pats the couch where I sit and where his Daddy sits when we sit down to watch our evening cartoon before bed time.
* (You’ll all get a kick out if this one if you know me well enough) When I burp and say excuse me and he proceeds to fake burp and say excuse me over and over again.
* Is thirsty and he knows right where everything is.
* Does ALL that he can to help with whatever he can.
* Somehow gets the cabinet under the kitchen sink open and walks around with the cleaner bottle spraying things and wiping them down.
* Runs up and hugs us at random times during the day.
* Calmly walks over to the time-out spot if we even mention the word.
* Listen and actually understands when we tell him to do something.
* Is his normal, happy, excited, curious self. :)
I wouldn’t be able to enjoy most of this stuff if I was working full time. I would be a HUGE stress case because I would not only be working all day, but then I would have to come home and make dinner and try to squeeze 8-hours worth of bonding that I missed during the day, into the 3-4 hours we would get in the evening. I am SO grateful that David has worked so hard so that we can be blessed with such a great job for him that allows me to stay home with Tucker. If David didn’t work as hard as he does, and if he wasn’t as devoted to our family as he is I don’t think we would be as blessed as we are. I am so grateful for all of the blessings we have been given. Most of all I am so grateful that we have been blessed with a little boy who wants to know how everything works, where everything goes, why things are as they are, and is SO much like his Daddy.
To sum it all up… I LOVE MY FAMILY!

Wow, they really grow like weeds don't they?? I love that he shows you where the pans are and burps with you :)
Jen since when do you burp? How about ROOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAR! Girlfriend you could blow someone to kingdom come if you "roared".....so in other words Tucker is the next generation.
