Christmas in August…

… For Tucker

Tucker has gotten rather spoiled in the last week. But, he deserves it because he’s a pretty good kid. :)

Last Friday, the 13th, my friend Becca was gracious enough to take Tucker and I to pick up some outdoor toys that we found for him on Craigslist. David and I had been looking all over for reasonably priced toys and we were SO excited to find all 4 of these toys for only $115. Tucker LOVES them! Here are some pictures of him playing on them.

He LOVES slides, so he was all sorts of excited when we got this one all cleaned up and set up. Week of 8-16-10 (20) Week of 8-16-10 (21) Week of 8-16-10 (22) Week of 8-16-10 (18)I wasn’t sure exactly what he would think of this house. But he loves to climb in through the window and then walk out the door. He also enjoys digging with his shovel in it. Silly kid. :)Week of 8-16-10 (26) Week of 8-16-10 (27) Week of 8-16-10 (28) We haven’t gotten sand for this sandbox yet. So we used it as a toddler pool the other day. :) The blow up thing in the background is a Hippo pool that we bought the night before we found these other toys. He used it to watch a movie in the previous post. :)Week of 8-16-10 (23) This last toy I wasn’t sure he was going to do much with, but it was lumped into the package deal so we got it. Tucker LOVES it. He constantly rocks out on it. :) In the last one he is blowing kisses to the camera.Week of 8-16-10 (29) Week of 8-16-10 (14) Week of 8-16-10 (17)

On Monday night, the 16th, Tucker absolutely refused to sleep in the crib. David and I stood outside his door for 45-minutes and had to take him back in at least 15 times before he eventually fell asleep in front of the closet. So, Tuesday morning I took the crib apart and his room went from this…

And it stuck this time. I think there were two big differences from this week to last week. The biggest thing was that David was home, so life was normal again. The second would be that Tucker was actually ready this time and he had decided it. David and I were dreading bedtime Tuesday night because we were sure it was going to be a battle, but Tucker pleasantly surprised us. He laid right down after song and prayer. He only got up once and we were right at the door. So I took him back in and he laid down on the bed and didn’t get up anymore. That night he rolled off of his bed and over to the closet door again, but he didn’t wake up and slept until 8:30. Wednesday night he did great again and he LOVES his bed and bedroom now. In the morning and after naps he usually wakes up and just starts playing without even opening the door. Our first sign of knowing he is awake is usually when we hear him dump all of his Duplo Leggos on the floor. He’s such a good kid. We feel SO fortunate that he is so easy going. Every night when we say our prayers we seriously thank Heavenly Father for sending such a wonderful baby boy. :)

Last night our friend Landon gave Tucker some toys from the gym that he had bought. It had a kids room in it, which he is not going to keep as it is so he gave a couple of the toys to Tucker and we are so grateful. First Tucker got this…

His very own workbench. It doesn’t have all of the pieces so we are trying to find them online. But he still loves it. Needless to say, Tucker has not gone without much. He is a well taken care of baby boy, but we feel that in return he is a good boy for us. We love him so much and are so grateful to have him in our family. We can’t believe that yesterday he turned 21-months. Where is the time going. He is growing so much and maturing so much. He tries to say everything that we are saying and do everything that we are doing. We love every minute with him and can’t wait to watch him grow even more.

WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH TUCKER MOSBY MIZE!
