Oh the updates…

Here goes. I realize that I haven’t really updated in awhile, so here goes. It has been a really busy couple of weeks since the last time I had a real post. But, as you can tell from my recent blurb, it’s been an exciting few weeks. So let’s start at the beginning.

First, Tucker’s newest trick. Climbing Out (4) That’s the "BUSTED” look. Yes, he climbed from his crib to his changing table after his nap. After I took this picture he laughed so hard and was so proud of himself. Needless to say, we have since moved the crib and changing table further from each other. He’s too smart! :)

JUNE 13th

On the 13th we went on the maiden voyage of the summer with our friends on their boat. Well, we made a good solid effort. When we got to the lake the boat decided to not cooperate so we didn’t make it into the water. We still had fun though. Erin and I hung out in the boat with the kids while David and Bruce tried to figure everything out. So, to prove that we were there we took some pictures.

David took Chase and Tucker for a stroll down the dockBoat with Sellers 6-12-10 (3)

Even the boat never made it into the water, we still had fun spending time with our friends. Erin and I took Tucker and Chase down to play in the water. Tucker took a spill and fell face first into the water. Other than the shock from the frigid cold water he took it pretty well. It was a fun evening.

The night before we went out on the boat Tucker and I decided to make cookies for our trip. Well I made them he… the pictures tell it all… Cookies with Mom Cookies with Mom (4)

JUNE 15-24

For the first time ever, I drove a road trip all on my own (as in the only driver). Tucker and I drove down to California for a family reunion for my Dad’s side of the family. We left at 6:00 and made it to my parents in Citrus Heights by 2:30. Pretty darn good time if you ask me. Tucker did AMAZINGLY well, thanks to the DVD player and some crayons. He’s such a good boy. We had a BLAST with the family. Tucker loved playing with his cousins SO much. I wish that I would have had the camera out more. I really didn’t take it out much at all. We had a blast spending time with all of my siblings and my Uncle Jerry, Aunt Myra and Cousin Kat from Colorado. They are so much fun! Our days consisted of going out to breakfast, shopping, cooking, watching movies, sitting around talking, and just plain having fun. David had to work and had ROUND THREE of his interview process with Emeritus up in Seattle. So he flew down on Friday evening in time for the reunion on Saturday.

The reunion was on Saturday, the 19th. If you want to see pictures from the reunion check out the Facebook page… http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=103829393002523&ref=ts We had SO much fun at the reunion. I loved spending time with all of my immediate family as well as get to know a number of my extended family members. It was funny because I was friends with most of the people there on Facebook, yet I had never met them. So it was nice to actually meet all of these people and get to know them more. :) My Dad worked SO hard on the reunion and it was a HUGE success! :)

On Sunday, Father’s Day, we had a family dinner at my brother Mike’s house. We went swimming and ate all of the leftovers from the reunion. Loads of fun.

Monday, the 21st, was our bay area day. David, Tucker and I headed down to San Francisco with my parents, Aunt, Uncle, Cousin and Niece. It was so much fun. The weather was beautiful. The best part of the trip was when we stopped at McDonalds for breakfast. That is where David got the phone call from Emeritus offering him the position that he applied for…  YAY! That sure made the trip a lot better. We were SO happy to get that news. :) Before we got into the city we stopped and put some flowers on my Grandma Boehrer’s grave. I am not a big fan of cemeteries, but I think my Grandma is pretty much the greatest, so I go to “visit” her. :)

When we got to San Francisco we walked along Pier 39. Of course we saw the Sea Lions (LOVE THEM), bought some delicious chocolate and enjoyed some of the street performers.

Tucker wasn’t sure what to think of the Silver ManCalifornia Trip (39)We ate lunch at a restaurant called Players. The food was horrible but Tucker enjoyed the Ski Ball game. As you can see he was very intent on getting a good throw.California Trip (32)

I loved showing Tucker the Sea Lions because they are my favorite part of San Francisco. He was rather interested in their laziness! :)California Trip (25)

This guy was being such a poser that I had to take a picture of him. I decided we’ll call him Henry! :) California Trip (26)

We came across a little playground on the pier. By the look on Tucker’s face I think this was his favorite part. This little boy is OBSESSED with slides! :)California Trip (34)We had so dang much fun in San Francisco. When we left the city we headed to Berkley to see the house that my Dad and Uncle grew up in. It was the cutest neighborhood I had ever seen. I didn’t know before this trip that my Great Grandpa Boehrer built the three houses on the street that my Dad’s family lived in. I think that’s pretty cool. I could just imagine my Dad running around when he was Tucker’s age causing all sorts of mayhem! :) After that we went to dinner at the Original Hick’ry Pit, a.k.a. Emmaville’s. This place has the BEST ribs EVER! And, it’s right across the street from where my Dad went to high school. He used to go to the restaurant when he was in high school. He LOVES the place, and so do I. :) It was a GREAT day in the Bay Area.

David flew home on Tuesday the 23rd so he could get back to work. Tucker and I stayed another day to visit  and then we headed home on Thursday, the 24th. The ride home took a little bit longer, but Tucker did great still. :)

Friday the 25th I walked a 5K with Tucker and my friend Aubrey. We were a part of the Physique Fitness team! :) It was a fun evening. After we walked we went with a huge group to eat dinner at Best Little Roadhouse… DELICIOUS! Good thing I burned so many calories beforehand. :)

Saturday the 26th David and I went and looked at house to rent. We felt that it was perfect for us to rent so we put in our application. The landlord called us Sunday and told us that we got a glowing review from our current property managers so she was very excited to offer it to us. Well, just so happens we were VERY excited to accept it. It’s a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 1350 sq. ft. house. It has a HUGE garage that’s really only for one car because of the set-up of it, but it’s really deep and has TONS of room for storage. Here’s a picture of the outside…

3n53pb3o65O45V25X5a6n34efb05a9c1b1f80We are so excited. We move in starting the 19th and will be completely moved in by the 24th. :) Once everything is put away I’ll take pictures of the inside. :) We are most excited that there is a backyard for Tucker to run like a mad man in. And I won’t lie, I love that the garage is so big so we can use our closets as closets and not just storage. :)

And, for good measure, before I sign off. Here is one of the CUTEST pictures of our little Bubba…California Trip (18)

Jenn, you have got to be KIDDING me. That's the rental we lived in while we were in the ward (1484 ...). The landlords are great cause they mow the front lawn and let you barrow the mower to do the back. And your right the garage is the best!!! Big congrats, I know you'll be happy there and will have plenty of room to grow as a family.
