My Birthday and Memorial Day

Well, the last few weeks have been fun. We celebrated my birthday 2-weeks ago (May 19th). It was a good day. I started my day with beautiful flowers, a card and peanut butter cups from David.New (3)Then I had  breakfast at Shari’s with some girlfriends. After breakfast Tucker went and hung out with his friend Chase while I went and got my hair cut and colored… see post dated 5/19. It was SO nice to get my hair done again by a professional. The last time that happened I was 3-months pregnant with Tucker. I was definitely due. After my appointment, Tucker and I came home and napped a bit. David took me out to dinner at Red Robin while our friend Aubrey watched Tucker. After dinner we came home and Aubrey had made a delicious cake, and her husband, Landon, came over when he was off work and we all just hung out for awhile. Most of the evening was spent trying to figure out my new calorie/heart rate watch. David got it for me and I was SO excited! :)

It was a great birthday! :)

Over this last weekend, David and I spent the Holiday with his family at a beach house in Seal Rock, OR on the coast. It was SO amazing. Here’s the view from the front door right when you walk into the house, sorry for the unclear view but you get the idea…New (62) I definitely didn’t mind cleaning up the kitchen Friday evening, or cooking breakfast Sunday morning because I got to enjoy this AMAZING view from the kitchen sink…New (64) Friday evening David, My Mother-in-law, Tucker and I were the first to arrive. We were so excited to get to see the house in it’s full clean glory before everyone got there. David’s Dad got there around 7:30 and once we got Tucker settled down in bed we played cards. I lost… it was definitely not my weekend for cards. :)

Saturday mid-morning David’s Sister Angie and her family arrived. We didn’t waste much time heading down to the beach for playing. the sand wasn’t very loose, but all of the boys seemed to have fun regardless. Here are a few pictures to enjoy…

Tucker enjoying the sand. It was pretty cold so we had him slightly bundled, but he still managed to have fun. :)New (10) I’m not sure who had more fun… David or Tucker. David and Ryan (the guy in the whole… aka brother-in-law) dug a hole deep enough for Ryan to kneel in so the boys could bury him. They all LOVED it! :)New (25) Here’s the end result of the burying… David was so proud! :) Riley, our nephew, was pretty excited about it as well.New (32)Here is what Tucker wanted to do all day… run into the water. New (45) Sunday morning we got up and headed down to the tide pools. The older boys had a lot of fun, Tucker just wanted to run into the ocean. It was fun though. We saw a cool starfish on the beach…New (47) Here’s a cute picture of David and Tucker at the tide pools, and one of Tucker and I.New (54) New (55)And here are the family pictures of the three of us from the weekend…

All-in-all it was a good weekend. The house was beautiful, the view was amazing, and the family time was great. :)
