8-months old Yesterday

Oh my goodness… where has the time gone. Tucker is 8-months old today. I can’t believe it. Here’s a breakdown of the favorites…

* HE’S CRAWLING! OK, so it’s not a hands and knee crawl, it’s more of an army crawl. But it’s crawling nonetheless. And we are in for a world of change. Life as we know it is over.

Here’s a Video of Tucker “Crawling”

*Loves his feet. As soon as he is on his back for a diaper change, the first thing he wants to do is grab both of his feet.

* Loves any sort of chord. Whether it’s an electronic chord, my straightener chord, or my resistance bands he loves them all.

* Still rolls EVERYWHERE! Although, now that he is crawling somewhat he is doing a mixture of both. It’s cute to watch him crawl somewhere, then want to turn, so he rolls then rotates his torso and continues crawling. He’s too smart for us.

* He loves his solid foods. Some of his favorites are sweet potatoes, peach cobbler (baby food version of course), cantaloupe, grapes, and baby cookies.

* He is getting better and better at picking up his little snacks from his tray and getting them to his mouth.

* Lately he thinks that his naps either don’t have to be as long as normal, or don’t have to be at all. Fortunately for him, he ends up giving in sooner or later.

* To my own fault, I have never let Tucker cry himself to sleep. I just can’t do it. However, Tucker is getting better at falling asleep on his own. I normally feed him his bottle before nap time or bed time, and then lay him in his crib. He has two little stuffed animals in there that he sometimes will play with for a minute or two, then he usually zones out and falls asleep. It’s great.

* He has been holding his bottle for awhile, but now he has perfected it, and it’s GREAT!

* Tucker is SO social. When I go workout I take him with me and he plays in the childcare there at the gym. He loves it. Every time we go in there, the ladies that work there are SO excited to see Tucker. And every time I pick him up to leave they always tell me that he is such a good boy and loves to watch the other kids. One of them said that she loves the look on his face when one of the other kids comes up to talk to him. She said that he just lights up. It really warms my heart to hear people say such good things about Tucker. :)

* He loves to “sing”, and loudly! He definitely wants to be heard, and will do what it takes to do so.

(The video is kind of fuzzy because it was taken with my cell phone.)

* He waves all of the time now, and it’s so darn cute. It’s not so much of the little baby hand wave, he full on flaps his arm up and down. It’s so cute!

* A friend of ours in our ward, Kathy Tyrell, loves Tucker and Tucker loves her. She had a candle party at her house last week and normally I wouldn’t have taken Tucker, but I was pretty sure if I didn’t she would never talk to me again. I think that we’re going to have to have Kathy’s daughter Hannah watch Tucker soon so Kathy can play with him. :)

Tucker is growing so much and we love every minute of it! I hope you enjoyed the pictures and videos. :)
