Well, we finally had our first Dr.’s appointment on January 26th. Everything went really well. The baby was still too little to be able to hear the heartbeat, so hopefully next time we go in we’ll catch. David and I walked away from that appointment with even more confidence in our WONDERFUL Dr. Bowen. I seriously love that man! I don’t know if I would be able to trust anyone else to do a c-section for me. He is so great, and I never feel like he doesn’t hear my concerns or thoughts. It also helps that he is a member of the church. That gives me a little peace of mind.
Our official due date is August 28th. The Salem Hospital will not let you schedule a c-section for more than a week before your due date which puts us at August 21st. However, since that’s a Sunday, as of right now we will be delivering the baby on Monday August 22nd. So crazy to know the day so early on! We are SUPER excited though. We’re hoping that over the next few months Dr. Bowen sees fit to fudge the due date a little so that we can deliver on Friday the 19th or Saturday the 20th. It would work SO much better with David’s work and whatnot. But, we’ll do whatever is best for the baby! :)
So far this pregnancy couldn’t be any more different than with Tucker. I have the WORST heartburn EVER! It’s brutal. With Tucker I didn’t get very much at all. I cannot touch meat with a 10-foot pole. Any kind of meat makes me sick to my stomach. With Tucker I wanted a hamburger EVERY Day! I am craving fruits and vegetables. With Tucker I craved a lot of salty things! I didn’t throw up with Tucker. With this one I have thrown up at least once a week for the past month. Now, I know I shouldn’t complain because a lot of women throw up everyday for 9-months. But, when you go from not barfing at all, to anything, it’s a lot! The one thing that’s the same is that water tastes disgusting, and I don’t sleep very well. So, go figure! On Feb. 12th I’ll officially be out of the firs trimester, so maybe things will turn around for me then. We’ll see!
My next appointment is February 25th, so if I don’t update before then… I’ll do it then. :)
This cartoon is mostly because I hate spongebob! Enjoy!

As you know I am excited for you guys! And I found my self laughing at this cartoon! Thanks for the laugh.
I love Dr. Bowen, he really is the best in town.
And as for hating the taste of water, I experienced that while preggers with Bailey. I eventually found out that I like to drink sports drinks like powerade and gatorade. But they were too sugary, so I started to water them down and it was perfect. Give it a try.
I threw up so much with Chloe the first 6 months, that i actually lost weight and had to get medication. The medication didn't even take away the nausea, but at least I was not throwing up anymore. ;) I hope yours only lasts the first trimester like it is suppose to! I also love comments, so you should comment on my blog every once in a while. Just sayin...lol.
