David and I did not get a chance to watch conference this weekend. Saturday is a blur. I’m nor sure what we did, but for some reason we weren’t watching conference. Mostly what I can remember is a lot of time playing in our bedroom with David and Tucker. Hide-n-seek was involved, bouncing on the bed (Tucker’s favorite), Tucker trying on his Daddy’s belts, and just plain old family fun. Now, even though we were unable to watch conference this weekend, we did record it so we could still enjoy the talks. I knew that realistically we weren’t going to sit down and watch all 4-hours at once. So, we decided to watch a talk each week for family home evening. :) This week we watched President Monson’s opening remarks for the Saturday morning session. I absolutely love President Monson and have ever since I was in Primary. After watching this talk I love him even more. As I was listening to him tell the cute stories about his wife, their first date and before he went to war I remembered that he is normal just like the rest of us, and he lived a regular life before he was the Prophet or even a member of the Quorum of the 12. He has such a wonderful way of telling a story. I just love everything about President Monson. As he began his talk Tucker came and sat on my lap and I was able to tell him who President Monson was. He may not remember now, but one day he will remember these small bits of information that we tell him and I can’t wait until he gets as excited as we do. :) I hope you all enjoyed conference, I can’t wait to hear the rest of the talks.
