Changes

It’s been awhile. Sorry. It seems like not a ton has happened lately, but stuff definitely worth mentioning.

First and foremost, I was released yesterday from my calling as Relief Society 1st counselor. The Bishopric came on Saturday, the 23rd, to release me. I had a feeling for awhile that things were going to be changing, just didn’t know when. The evening that they released me they didn’t have a calling for me that night so I was on pins and needles waiting for the phone call. Monday afternoon, the Bishopric member called to set-up a time for Tuesday evening to meet with us. So all day Monday and Tuesday I just kept trying to figure out where they would put me. My mind kept bouncing back and forth between primary and young women. So David and I were totally shocked when he told us…

Bear_4KYes, that’s right, I am now the Den Leader for the 9-year-old Bear Scouts. Oh my goodness, I am SO Excited!  It could not be any more different from what I was doing in Relief Society. But, it will be so great and I’ll be able to take Tucker with me.  I’m sure it will definitely help me in the future as Tucker gets into Scouts. It will all be an adventure and I am SO ready for it. I will definitely miss my time serving in the Relief Society, but it’s good for change. It’s amazing how as soon as I was released I could almost feel this mantle being lifted from me, it was a sad feeling, but my excitement for scouts made it that much easier! :)

In other news, Tucker is doing so well and still growing so much. Every day he makes David and I laugh over some silly thing that he does. He definitely LOVES to make people laugh. I wish that everyday each of you could experience Tucker, because that is just what he is… an experience. And we LOVE it! :) He is going to LOVE being around all of those boys at Scouts, definitely a good place for him. :)
