Tucker is 13-months old today. So crazy! This has been quite the month for him. I mentioned in a previous post that he has figured out how to climb into Grandpa’s chair. Well, here is his latest Endeavour…
If you can’t tell that is a “Look-At-Where-I-Got-All-By-Myself” smile!
Alright, I’m done with the book now to figure out how to get down
Tucker’s Latest Doings
* David and I were discussing the other day that it really is a pain that Tucker is learning all of these things. And then, in the middle of our pity party, I said, “At least we have to worry that he IS doing these things and how to handle that instead of worrying that he is NOT doing them.” That pretty much ended the pity right there. :)
* He sure gets into a lot. His heights definitely works to his advantage and not ours. Tucker can reach more of the counter than most kids his age. So we have to set things back WAY far.
* He LOVES little babies. Anytime he see’s one, he is very good about not touching. He will try and catch their eye and just say “hi” over and over to them. I love it because it gives me hope that he will be a FANTASTIC big brother one day.
* He is getting a little temper on him. If you take something from him, he gets pissed. I would say he gets mad, but pissed sums it up better. He has this screech that drives me BONKERS! But, for the most part I am strong and don’t give in.
* He is learning where is facial features are. It’s funny because when we ask “Where’s your nose” he points to our noses instead. Silly boy!
* He says Thank You. This, in and of itself, makes me so happy. Anytime we hand him something he says it with a big smile. :)
* If I am cooking and the timer goes off, he immediately goes to the oven and tries to open the door. Thank goodness he is not able to get it open yet. He’s such a good helper.
* He loves to help me with the laundry (in his own way).
* He LOVES to see Dadda in the morning when he wakes up. As soon as I am finished changing his diaper he RUNS in to see Dadda. He gets very much confused if David has already left to work.
I’m sure if I thought long and hard enough I could find more things to write about but I don’t want to bore you all to death.
David and I are SO excited for this Christmas with Tucker. He is LOVING all of the different things that are going on. Tomorrow night we have a Christmas dinner with David’s Family. Tuesday evening we are watching the OSU/BYU bowl game with David’s family (we’re split down the middle as fans), then Thursday morning we are flying down to Sacramento to spend Christmas with my family and I am SO excited! Tucker is going to be SO much fun opening his gifts Christmas morning. I can’t wait for him to have his first donut as his Christmas morning traditional breakfast with Papa. :) I’m sure we’ll have TONS of stuff to post over the next week so stay tuned! :)
