Week in California

Tucker and I had a blast in California with my parents and the rest of my family in California. We drove down last Tuesday with my Mom and Dad. Tucker was a dream in the car. He didn't cry at all in the car. The only time that he cried was when we were stopped for lunch in Ashland and it was his nap time. So I wrapped him and walked outside with him for a few minutes and he crashed right out. He is such a good baby. He slept really well at my parents house for the most part also. It was really dry there compared to Oregon so he tossed and turned a lot during the night. But he only really woke up once for the most part.
We spent our days hanging out with my parents and going around and seeing all sorts of friends and family. On Wednesday we stopped by Bryan and Monica's to see the kids the headed over and had lunch with my Grandma Bailey, she was all too excited to show off her Great Grandson to all of her friends. That evening we went and saw the Adams to show off Tucker. They are long time family friends, long before I was even born. It was enjoyable to see them. Thursday Tucker turned 3-months old! CRAZY! We spent all day with Tucker's Aunt Tory and her girls. We ate lunch at McDonalds and then the girls loved on Tucker all day long. It was so much fun. Last time we were in California I didn't get my standard day at Tory's with her and the girls, so I was glad to get my time in this time. :) That night we went to visit Jamie so she could meet Tucker. It was so fun to be together with our kids. Then we went and saw Kristie. Her son is 6 weeks younger than Tucker. Friday afternoon we met up with my brother Bryan and had lunch with him. Later that evening we went over to Bryan and Monica's house and spent the evening with them. Tucker's cousins, Cali and Sam, could not get enough of him. Sam said to Bryan on Thursday night, "Dad, we want Tucker to come over again. We got to see him before you did. ha! ha!" Too cute! Sam and Cali were so good with Tucker. Saturday was a busy day for us with a cooking party in the morning, lunch with Amie and Lisa in the afternoon, dinner with everyone in the evening, and a marathon shopping trip with Monica that night. Dinner was SO fun Saturday evening. Mike and Tory & girls, Bryan and Monica & kids, Mom and Dad, and Tucker and I all went to dinner at Chili's. It was so much fun. On Sunday we got up and went to Mom and Dad's stake conference. It was so weird to be in the Mother's Lounge with a baby instead of being in there to hide from something or someone. Unfortunately I didn't get to enjoy conference because it was the beginning of the end for Tucker and I. Tucker was not wanting to sit in conference so we had to walk the halls with him and I started to get an awful migraine. So as soon as it was over we bolted right home so Tucker and I could nap. That evening Mom, Tucker and I went over to Adrianne's house to watch the Oscars. Adrianne is one of my Mom's long time best friends, she babysat us when we were younger, and she has been close to our family forever. So we watched the Oscars with Adrianne, Aunt Tory, Cousin Chelsey, Debbie, and Judy. It was so fun to be with the ladies and just hang out and enjoy the Oscars. The Oscar party is a long time tradition and this is the first one I have been able to go to since being married. It was a blast. Sadly Monday morning Tucker and I both woke up with a horrible cold. But we powered through and went to lunch with two of my friends that I used to work with at Dr. Holt's office. It was so good to catch up with them. Then we spent the rest of Monday with my Dad just hanging out and talking. Monday night Tucker and I headed back up here to Oregon. Fortunately my fever didn't kick in until we were already on our way home from the airport. I peaked at 100.8 and it didn't break until last Tuesday evening. Tucker fortunately didn't have too bad of a fever. On Tuesday David's Mom was able to come down and take care of Tucker so I could sleep all day. It was so nice of her.
All in all we loved our trip to California. It was great to see everyone. Tucker loved being with Grandma and Papa. Every morning he would wake up, I would change his diaper, and then he would sit and play with Papa for 10-15 minutes before he would eat. It was so cute. And every time he looked at Grandma he would smile so big. It was so fun to watch him interact with my parents. We look forward to the next time we see Grandma and Papa. :) Here are some pictures from our trip... enjoy!
