October Update

Wow, what a month it has been. So, just to give you a brief overview of our month. We didn't do much different than our normal routine. We went to a fun Halloween Party on the 27th after the OSU game. That was alot of fun! We enjoyed spending time with our friends.

I have been busy with work. My co-worker is getting ready to quit in December when her husband graduates, so I will be doing my job and hers. So I have been slammed getting trained with all of that stuff. I feel like I live at work and the gym lately. But, the gym is starting to pay off. I have lost 15 pounds which is quite the triumph for me. So I am excited! It has been a good month for me.

David has been SUPER busy this month. He had mid-terms the middle of the month as well as work. They opened the new "party" room where David works, so he has been busy promoting that.

Even more exciting is that he has been busy with JOB INTERVIEWS. On the 26th there was a job fair at the University. That same day he had a big project due, and classes. So he was only able to spend about and hour or so at the fair. But, he definitely used his time there well. He got an interview with Intel and Cintas for the next day, the 27th. Wednesday, the 27th, he went and did his interviews. He didn't feel really confident in his Intel interview, and was told that they would contact him soon regarding a 2nd interview. He felt like he nailed the Cintas interview, and was told that he would hear from them by Friday.

Friday comes along and no word from Cintas or Intel. Friday afternoon though, David calls me at work and tells me that he got a phone call from Intel. We were both surprised because he just didn't feel so confident in the interview. They set up a phone interview with him the following Tuesday, the 30th. On Tuesday he did the interview and felt really good about it. He got some coaching from his friend Kris who works there now, and it helped him in the interview. We should hear from them in a week or two.

Still no word from Cintas, Thursday comes along, the 1st, and David gets a phone call from Cintas finally. They want him for a second interview. This one is slightly more exciting only because they want to take him and a few other candidates out to dinner next Thursday night, the 8th, put him up in a hotel, and then interviews all day Friday. David is excited, and so I am. It's so crazy that we are at this point now. I am SO excited that David is almost done! It's almost time to move on to the next part of our lives and I can't wait!

We will keep you all posted on everything that happens. It is definitely a VERY exciting time for us and we want to share it with all of you. We love you all and hope that life is treating you well. The Holidays are upon us and we are excited for everything that it will bring. We can't wait to be in California for Thanksgiving, and then in Tigard for Christmas! I'm sure w;e'll have lots of stories to share with everyone.
