David's Interview with Cintas

Wow! What an exciting week for us. Bad news first... David didn't get the Intel job. He was bummed, but we are okay with it.
Thursday afternoon David headed up to Portland for his Round Robin interview with the Pacific Northwest Division of Cintas. He got to the hotel about 4:45 or so. They put him up at the Residence Inn in Portland. Apparently it was a very nice hotel but he had to share a room with another candidate. Unfortunately the other guy got there, and there was only a bed and a pull out couch. Needless to say... David got the couch. Bummer for him, but he survived! Thursday evening Cintas provided a nice dinner for everyone and introduced them to the company and explained the interview process. When I talked to David during their break, he said he was still hungry because he didn't eat much for the sake of not looking like a pig. He's so funny! They finished up Thursday evening around 10:00 and headed up to their rooms. David and I talked briefly but he wanted to get to sleep early so he would be rested for the next day.
Friday morning at 6:00 I called David as I was getting up to do my Yoga (per his request) and he seemed slightly nervous but under control enough. The group met again at 7:15 and headed for the Portland plant for a tour. Following the tour they had round 1 of interviews and then lunch. After lunch David met with a guy from the Yakima plant who he really liked. He was very impressed with this guy because of his demeanor and personality. Following that interview that had a wrap up session and everyone went home.
David finally called me at 3:15 or so and sounded exhausted. My brother Bryan, who worked for Cintas, warned David that this was going to be an exhausting day, and it sure was. David spent the rest of the afternoon and evening with his parents, and made it back home to me around 10:30. Then we were up late talking about it all. David felt really good about the whole experience. He said that he felt like his answers to the questions flowed easily and he was able to really pull from all of the work experiences that he has had.
David and I are really hoping that this pulls through. As with everything in life we are comforted to know that we have done all we can and David did the best he could and it is in the Lord's hands now. I am so proud of David and all that he has done. He is working so hard in school and at work to make the best that he can. I am very blessed to have him and I can't wait for what the future has to bring. Please keep us in your prayers this week as we await the response from Cintas, which we should here by Wednesday. Cross your fingers, we will definitely keep you updated!
