11/15 – Disposable Baby Diapers

Today I am extremely grateful for Baby Diapers. For anyone who has EVER changed a diaper, I am sure you can agree. As gross as it is to change a poopy diaper,  I would rather change a diaper than try and scrub that poop out of the carpet or clothes. :) So today, here’s to you Marion Donovan, for inventing something MIRACULOUS… the disposable diaper! :)

11/14 – Indoor Plumbing

I was thinking about what I could be grateful for today and David blurted out, “Indoor Plumbing.” So, indoor plumbing it is. As I thought about it, I realized that I really am so grateful for indoor plumbing. Think about it… Middle of the night, gotta pee so bad… with indoor plumbing all you have to do is get up and go to the bathroom. HOWEVER if you didn’t have indoor plumbing you would have to get up, put on socks and shoes, grab a coat, go outside, do your business and then come back in and dress down for bed again. What a pain that would be. Even more, could you imagine having to potty train a toddler with NO indoor plumbing… BRUTAL! So today I say, “Hats off to you, Thomas Crapper, for making our lives easier!”

11/13 – LDS Missionaries

Oh how I love missionaries. Actually, it’s not the missionaries that I love so much as the work that they d0. Having served a mission, the work is that much closer to my heart. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ, the work is that much more closer to my heart. Having a Dad that is a convert to through church through the efforts of missionaries, makes it even more closer to my heart. Such an amazing work being done. It takes a special spirit to teach the True Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people on the earth today.

My Dad was recently called to serve as the Ward Mission Leader in his ward. He was kind of intimidated by the calling at first since he did not have the opportunity to serve a mission. But in the few short weeks that he has been in the calling I can tell that his testimony of missionary work has grown that much more! David and I have had the opportunity to have the missionaries in our home multiple times and it is such a great spirit that enters with them. We have yet to have them teach someone in our home, but the time will come.

I am so grateful for missionaries and pray for them constantly that they will be safe and protected. I pray that they will find those that are ready and willing to hear the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and that those people will welcome them into their homes. I appreciate the sacrifice that is made by these Young Men and Women everyday to serve our Heavenly Father.

Tank you to all of the wonderful Men and Women who have served and are currently serving in our military! My life wouldn't be as good without you.
