We have been hit…

…And hit hard!

Monday morning at 4:00, I woke up to Tucker calling for me desperately. I jumped out of the bed and ran into his room and found him laying in a pool of vomit. Poor kid was so distressed. So he took a bath, I cleaned it all up, and laid him back down. 30 minutes later he was throwing up again. This carried on all day Monday. I had never done so much laundry in my life. By Monday afternoon he was doing better and Monday night he seemed closer to normal. So, Tuesday he woke up and was back to his normal self so I let him go to preschool. When we got home from preschool and running some errands, Tucker got hit again and puked in the garage. Sad smile So we set him up on his bed again, and had a relaxing afternoon. Tuesday night he was doing much better again…until bed time. At 10:30 he woke up calling out for me again and had puked again. So I went to the store and got some pedialite for our relaxing Wednesday. Then we all went to bed, and at 4:00 Wednesday morning, Bailey wakes up screaming. I went into get her and she was now laying in a pool of vomit. The bug had hit Bailey. Poor Baby. She was throwing up a bunch in the morning. Tucker was still throwing up some too. So fortunately, David was able to stay home from work that day to help me. SO glad he did because there sure were times when both of the kids were barfing at the same time. I don’t know what I would have done. So grateful for David’s flexible job. We took both of the kids to the Dr. Wednesday afternoon and he gave them some anti nausea medicine. That seemed to help a lot. We all went to bed Wednesday night thinking that this gross had left us…not so much. Thursday morning David woke up and was sick to his stomach all day. So, he worked from home (our bed) and I took care of the kids. Thursday night I went to Bunco because I needed a break…BAD! Half way through Bunco my tummy started to ache. I thought it was due to all of the pineapple I had eaten. Well, at 11:15 that night, whatever it was, it wasn’t in my tummy anymore. I threw everything up. Then again at 1:15 and another at 5:30. Then David and I remembered that I have anti nausea medicine from after I was in the hospital. So we dug that out and it made a HUGE difference. So I have spent all day in bed, and David was able to take care of the kids. I am feeling better tonight, and with a good nights rest, I think I will be up for the OSU football game tomorrow evening. Smile

Let’s hope this is the last we see of the stomach flu for awhile.
