Portland Car Show

We headed up as a family to the car show in Portland. Before we had kids, David and I went with his parents and it was so much fun. For some reason, going with kids made it quite a different experience. It was still fun though. Tucker had a BLAST climbing in and out of all of the cars. As we were leaving David made the observation that he and I go for two very different reasons. He goes to look at all of the cool cars that we will never own, and I go to look for a car that will work for our family in a few years. I say, as along as we both get out of it what we want, then its all good.

While we were there, Jeep had this cool little course set up for the kids to drive battery quads on. Tucker didn’t quite get the hang of the whole turning concept, but he had a blast. Here is a picture of him in helmet while waiting in line.

After he drove for awhile, we decided to let David take Bailey in the stroller to go and look at all sorts of cars and Tucker and I headed to the play area. You can only imagine Tucker’s excitement when we turned the corner and saw this…

  Lightning McQueen as a slide?!?!?!?!? All of his dreams had come true. Two of his favorite things mixed into one. WOO!HOO! Needless to say, I watched him go down this a NUMBER of times! :)

    

We had a really enjoyable family day at the Auto Show. Everyone involved had fun. We ended the day with David’s parents playing cards at their house. Always a fun activity! :)
