The update!
I want to start with this cute picture of Tucker. First let me give you some background. This was a Monday evening, right around 5:00. He had a rough go the night before and I had to work a good part of that day, so he spent it with Aunt Rachel. Rachel was so good with him, she even had to meet David at work so they could take Tucker to the Dr. to get his terrible coughing and wheezing checked. Turns out it was an ear infection so he got some meds. I got home around 3:30 and Tucker still had not taken a real nap. I knew this was going to be a long evening. When David got home we were supposed to leave shortly after to sign the papers for our rental house. As we were discussing whether or not one of us should stay with Tucker or if we should just deal with it and both go we notice that Tucker’s whining had stopped and this is what we saw… from a few angles.
This is what I saw when I first looked downSo I had to make sure that he was asleep and not just zoning. So this is the view under the coffee table.
And finally, I just thought this was cute. :)
Now, let’s go back to the 4th of July. We spent the weekend at Eagle Crest resort in Eastern, OR with our friends Aubrey and Landon. We had such a good time relaxing, playing games, venturing into Bend, OR, and watching fireworks. Since Tucker had learned how to climb out of the pack-n-play we had to drive him to sleep, and he would always make it into our bed by no later than 6:00. So the mornings were early. But we still had fun. :) Here are a few pictures from the weekend…
Tucker patiently waiting for the fireworks to start. He liked the fireworks but didn’t seem overly excited. He threw out a couple of ooh’s and ahh’s, but I think he was mostly copying me. He didn’t fuss at all so that was a good thing. He was pretty into them at this point. So I snuck a picture in.
Here we are taking advantage of another “entranced” moment of Tucker’s to snag a family shot.
Here are our cute friends Aubrey and Landon. These are good people. :)
And we’ll end with tonight. There is actually so much more to blog about but I don’t have time. So I’ll save it and do a 20-month post on the 19th for Tucker. Since it’s mostly about him anyway. :)
Today Tucker and I stopped by my friends Dad’s dentist office to get some boxes. While there, Tucker got lucky and was able to pick out TWO squirt guns. So, after dinner, Daddy and Tucker went outside and played with the squirt guns. I definitely had to get the camera out for this. It was so cute and Tucker had SO much fun! :)
Starting with a duelIf you look closely, you can see Tucker getting nailed by Daddy. I love his facial expression.
Another standoff. I’m not sure if Tucker ever won, but he sure put up a good fight. :)
This is how that standoff ended… a victory run?
This is his innocent face… right before…
They ambush Mommy! AGH!
Yes, we are loving these Summer days and evenings. We are SO excited to be moving into a house next week with a great backyard. It is just in time to still enjoy our summer. Tucker is going to have SO much fun with all of his newfound freedom. I can’t wait to capture all of the joy, and just soak it all in.

I can't believe how big and funny he is. He is a tank. I love it. Miss you.

- not too good at facebook either! I swear one of these days we should get a bunch of moms together and make of book of sleeping kids. I used to love it when the boys would fall asleep at the dinner table, on the stairs, etc. You look fab - as always!
I can't believe how much he has grown!! He was so cute when you stopped by the other night.. he is so friendly to say "hello" and "goodbye" to a stranger! Cute pictures, especially under the table! ;)
