Well, Tucker and I are finally back and starting to get back into our routine after our 10-day trip. On Sunday, the 14th, Tucker and I flew down to Sacramento to stay with my parents for a few days. While there I was able to help my Dad get everything in order for us to complete our family history book for our reunion in June. Check out this gem of a picture that I got. Seriously, I think this picture is AWESOME! This is my Dad’s Nanna (Grandma) and Bompie (Grandpa). How cute is this… I also got my hands on this cute as ever picture of my parents…
Let me just say, neither of my parents had braces when they were younger. Aren’t their teeth SO pretty? Oh, and one last one of our family. I was probably 5 in this picture…
Clockwise: Mom, David (11), Dan (15), Mike (17), Dad, Jenn (5) and Bryan (8)
Pretty freaking awesome huh! There are SO many more where that came from, and I am LOVING looking at all of them!
Onto the rest of our trip. While in California I was able to see Mike and Bryan and there families. I love watching Tucker play with all of his cousins. Now that he is becoming more of a big boy, he gets right in and plays more than just watches. And his cousins LOVE showing him all of the cool things he can do. I also had a chance to do a playdate with my sister-in-law Monica and our friends Debbie and Hilari with their kids. Tucker had a blast, and it was nice to get some adult time. That Wednesday, St. Patrick’s Day, Tucker and I went out to breakfast with Poppa (my Dad). It’s become a tradition to go to breakfast at least with Poppa while we are in town. Thursday we piled into the car and headed to Vegas. Tucker did SO well in the car. I was concerned because this was the first time since he was 3 months old that we had taken a car trip. The only hard time he had was right after lunch. He was beyond exhausted and had a hard time falling asleep. But, his difficulty only lasted about 20 minutes, and then he slept for about 2-hours. GLORIOUS!
In Vegas we were able to see the rest of his cousins and my brothers Dan and Dave and their families. We stayed with Dan and his family and loved it. Tucker LOVED all of the toys they had, and his cousins loved sharing them with him. Saturday we went to the church for Jacob’s baptism, which was why we went to Vegas. It was a great day. That Sunday evening I was able to go and visit one of my best friends, Seana. She is also a mission companion of mine. She had her 2nd baby in January so I was able to love on her for awhile. It was SO good to see Seana, we definitely need to live closer.
Monday Tucker and I moved over to stay at Dave and Rachels. Dave has been so busy that he asked me to stay longer so I could watch their boys in the evening while he and Rachel go out. I had no problem with that. It allowed Tucker to have more time to play with his cousins. It was such a good trip and Tucker had SO much fun.
The flight home was a little difficult because it was a PACKED flight so Tucker could not have his own seat. But, they guy sitting next to us was AWESOME and so helpful. He definitely entertained Tucker which made life easier for me.
Last but not least, here are some pictures from the trip.
Tucker with Great Grandma Bailey (My Mom’s Mom)
Tucker experienced a trampoline for the first time. He LOVED it! All he wanted to do was play on the trampoline. One afternoon when all of the kids were playing, I looked out the window to check on them and Tucker had somehow gotten onto the trampoline with my two 5-year old nephews. I freaked out a little bit and ran out there. I wasn’t mad so much as I was curious how he got up there. When I asked Jarom and Bryce, after they both called the other one out, I told them they weren’t in trouble, then they told me the truth. Apparently Jarom had pulled Tucker’s arms while standing on the trampoline and Bryce was on the ground lifting his legs. Oh, that would have been such a sight to see. Fortunately the two boys knew that they had to bounce softly while Tucker was on the trampoline. :)
Tucker always wanted to be in the know with the big kids. Here he is watching Jake play his game. No, Jake is not giving him a dirty look, this was taken during mid-tease. :)
While Tucker’s cousins were riding their scooter, he came across this one and caught right on to what he should do. He loved being able to do things like the big boys! :)
This is not even close to all of the pictures that we took, but these were the ones that I thought you all might find most interesting. But, I have to end with these last two. This is Tucker and his new Best Friend… JD! They were buddies from the moment we got there!
