This Is The Place

Alright, so David and I have kind of come to the conclusion that we are going to be in Oregon for at least the next few years. Now, I have manged to keep my California phone number up until this point. However, now that we are in a family ward and have real callings where people actually call you, David thinks that I should get a local phone number. :( Sad! It kind of makes me feel that when I do that I am going to be losing the only part of me that is really California... except for the 50% of me heart that will always be in California. I'm not going to lie, the other 50% of my heart belongs here in Salem, OR. It is such a wonderful place. We have been so blessed to have moved into one of the greatest Wards in the world. We are in the Battlecreek ward and we LOVE it. As soon as the Relief Society president knew what was going on with my bed rest and whatnot I got a call from her, a call from the Compassionate Services leader and other members of the ward. And from day one I have felt like I belong in the ward. Seriously, this ward is amazing and I will forever be grateful for their kindness. It was hard for me at first to accept it because I felt guilty because I haven't been to church much with traveling and whatnot, but they never made me feel like we were imposing on anyone. Seriously such an amazing ward. When David and I go to buy a house we pretty much will only look for homes in this ward so we don't have to move wards. :) It is just an amazing ward and they are SO willing to serve. I honestly can't wait until I can have the opportunity to serve more in the ward. We had two people bring us meals in the last week, and they were so good. They weren't some slap it in the oven meal and get it done, these sisters took their time. One made homemade macaroni and cheese with steamed broccoli and incredibly moist brownies... So Good, and then tonight we had a SUPERB homemade meatloaf with amazing broiled potatoes a fruit salad and the best cookies in the world... David wants me to get the recipe for all of it. We just feel so blessed to be in such an amazing ward. :)

Now, on somewhat of a different note, I want everyone's opinion. I am putting a poll on the blog to see what everyone thinks of me changing my cell phone number. Now keep in mind that we are probably going to try a home phone for six months or so to see if we really need it. I think we will because our callings require a lot of phone tree stuff. Anyway, let me know what you all thing. Thanks Everyone.

I am either/or. If you get a land line I don't see what difference if makes.

I think you should just stick with the same #. By the way you look great!

HA, I knew you were a blogger! I should have asked when we visited you on Wednesday. But I'm so excited to learn more about you, your blog cracks me up. So thanks for the laughs. I know you're just sitting around the house so check out my blog when you get a chance and Amber is a blogger too. She is in my blog roll (under Amber & Jeremy). I hope your having a lovely day and that you are being kind to my tupperware. Emily Montgomery
PS. stick with your calli #, be true to yourself, everyone else can just deal.
PSS. I see you've got a baby pool going on. First put me down for 10-31-08 @ 12:21 pm. Second, you should do your pool thru expectnet.com. It's a great website, with a point system (w/ length & weight too) and everything. And you can make a direct link from your blog to the expectnet pool. We did it for both of our babies and it was so much fun.
Wow that was long, SORRY
