David and I had a great Valentines Day. We spent it at work and school mostly. I know... lame! But that night we went to dinner with our friend Jeff and his date Debbie, and Jeff's brother Wyatt and his date Hailey. Wyatt had just gotten home from his mission two days earlier so it was rather interesting to see it all. We went to a really good Sushi/Japanese restaurant. We ate WAY to much but it was really good! We had an enjoyable time. The funniest part was when the chef tried to get us to catch chicken in our mouths, he threw it to me and it landed right down my shirt. It was so funny. The poor chef was so embarrassed. I just laughed. Before we went to dinner David gave me my present. I got an Oregon State Baseball hat because I had mentioned the other night that I wanted one, and I got an Oregon State Baseball Nation Champs T-shirt because after tax season when I am retired I am going to be the number one OSU Baseball fan! :) It was really cute, he was super excited to give it to me. For his gift, I took it to his work the day before and asked one of the co-workers to set it up for me. I got him a cute monkey, a card, some Jeff Gordon chocolates and a balloon that said I Love You. He was totally surprised at work on Valentines Day. I was really excited. To end the night we cuddled up in bed and fell asleep to a movie. It was a great day.
The next day, Friday, David's Sister and brother-in-law brought her two boys down for David and I to watch. We offered to watch them for the weekend since it was their anniversary. So we had Riley (4) and Teddy (2) from Friday night at 6:30 until Sunday afternoon. It was an enjoyable weekend. Saturday morning we got up and went for a walk to a big train that Riley was dying to see. It was a decent walk, but the boys did so well in the stroller. They loved climbing on the train and everything. All-in-all it was a good weekend with the nephews. It did make me realize a couple things though. (1) There is a reason that when you have kids you start with one at a time (if you're lucky) and they are small and immobile so you can grow with them. (2) I still want three kids, I just want them 12 to 18 years apart now. :) I have to admit, my favorite part of the weekend was Sunday morning when we were all laying in the bed together after the boys woke up and we were all playing and laughing. That one part made it ALL worth it! That and seeing David interact with the boys. He is going to make such a good Dad when the time comes. :)
