The Temple

The Oakland California temple will always hold a special place in my heart. In this temple my parents were sealed many years ago, which enabled me to be able to be born under the sealing covenenant. This is the Temple that I went to all growing up for baptisms for the dead. In this temple I received my own endowments. On our first date, I took David to this Temple to see its beautiful garden on top. Most importantly, to me, in this Temple, David and I were sealed together for time and all eternity on July 1, 2006. This temple will always hold a special place in my heart.

The Portland Oregon temple was the Temple that David and I have attended most since we have been married. It is beautiful inside and outside. We have had many questions answered there, and many personal things revealed to us. The Portland Oregon temple will always hold a special place in my heart.

Now, the Seattle Washington is our home temple. David and I were able to go there as we were praying about taking this promotion and moving our family to Washington. We received amazing comfort there as we were pondering these big changes. There is a good chance that when each of our children get married, they will be doing so in the Seattle temple. I look at this Temple and I love the future that it represents. I took this picture a couple of weeks ago when the kids and I were there. It is so special to me. When I look at this picture, I see Tucker, as the great big brother that he is, asking for Bailey’s hand so he take her closer to the Temple. I see Bailey, in her sweet innocence, pointing towards the Temple and wanting to be closer to it. I know that as long as I teach my children right, and rasie them in the right way, that one day we will all enter that temple together. What a special day that will be. I am so grateful that I took the time out of my day to take the kids to walk around the Temple. It was an impromptu thing, but it was definitely lead by the spirit. My kids have an excitement for being at the temple. They can’t wait to take Daddy to walk around it and show him all of the neat things that we saw. Anytime Bailey here’s David or I say the word Temple, here little head perks up and she says, “Oooo, oooo, oooo, I do, I do!” That’s what she says when she gets excited about stuff. It makes me smile. I am grateful for the wonderful spirit that temple attendance can bring into my home. I have never lived so convenient to the temple. It is my goal to go once a month, and I am grateful for friends who are willing to watch my kids so I can do so.
