I’m a slacker

Well, if anyone reads our blog anymore. Yes, we are still alive. I have been so busy lately that I haven’t had time to really breath, let alone blog. But, since it’s now 3:45 in the morning and I can’t sleep… I guess now’s a good a time as any. So here goes…

A few weeks ago Tucker and I decided to make some brownies to take to David at work. Tucker is big into helping in the kitchen lately so I do the best I can to be patient enough to let him. Here are a few pictures of the adventure…

The best part of this whole brownie ordeal was when we took them to David. As soon as we got to David’s office, Tucker very calmly sat down and held his hands out for a brownie. As soon as he inhaled it we decided to share some with David’s co-worker. David wanted to let Tucker carry the plate and I warned him that he needed to help him. Well, as soon as we got to Cindy’s door, Tucker got scarred and turned really fast and dropped the whole plate of brownies on the carpet. :( We all had a good laugh. And, just for the record, Cindy is not scary at all. I think he was just expecting to see David’s other co-worker Missy. :) To make it all better, Tucker had a good cuddle with Daddy that night while they watched Phineas and Ferb (our new favorite tv show)

The next day I watched my friend Elena’s daughter Marlee. She is so freaking cute and LOVES Tucker. After I cleaned up lunch I walked into the family room to find this…

New Pictures (10)I know that Tucker looks uninterested, but he was giggling a few seconds before I took the picture. The camera caught his attention though. After Tucker took his nap, and Marlee took her rest, they both enjoyed a lazy afternoon on my bed watching probably 5 episodes of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It was a lazy day for all of us since I wasn’t feeling to well either. They are both zoned!

On Sunday, October 3rd, we went up to Portland to support 3 of our friends, Aubrey, Elena and Stacy, in the 5K Diabetes Walk for the Cure. It was so fun. Tucker did so well for being in a stroller the whole time, and getting a little damp from the off and on rain.

He was all smiles all day

I was SO excited that David had actually agreed to do a 5K with me. He lucked out though because somehow the course got all screwed up and I think we only walked a mile… maybe. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts right?!?! :)

Our Little Family, Pre-Race

Our Family

Other than that, life has been pretty much the same. We are getting ready for Tucker to turn 2 next month. By getting ready I mean, I am mentally trying to not FREAK out that my baby is 2. That means he is officially no longer a baby and he’s now a toddler. So crazy. I have been busy busy lately working on crafts for him. I went and bought some felt to hang in our hallway as a felt board for Tucker and he LOVES it. So far I only have a pumpkin story for him, but I’m almost done with letters, numbers, animals and a few other things. I don’t know what happened but somehow a creative bug has bitten me because I just can’t stop thinking of things to make for Tucker to help teach him new things. It’s gotten so bad that I’ve overwhelmed myself and have grounded myself from Joann’s Fabrics until after I’ve completed what I have right now. :) But I am loving it all.

I was also able to score a free 1-month membership to the gym for helping out one evening. So Tucker and I have been at the gym every morning. Oh how we have missed it. I love working out… in a gym. I am down 8 pounds and hoping to keep going. Going to the gym has made a world of difference for Tucker too. He is back into a routine and did amazing in nursery this week because of it. So, it might be worth spending the $80 a month if it means a fitter Momma and a happier Bubba! We’ll see.

As it always is, Tucker wants to be just like his Daddy and do everything that his Daddy does. If David is leaning against the wall, Tucker will to. If David is laying on the floor, Tucker is too. He copies his Daddy in everything and I love it. Lately while I am cooking dinner, or cleaning up dinner, David will sit on the counter so we can talk. Well, of course Tucker needs to do this as well. So I finally snapped a few pictures of them last night…

It is next to impossible to get a good picture of Tucker’s real smile. He always give this cheese grin while he says “cheese”

Here’s another cheese grin, but then I was able to get a decent one.

Congrats on the weightloss! That's so awesome. Im in denial as well about Chloe turning two in January. It's just so weird to think how fast they are growing up. You will definitely have to post your crafty stuff you are working on!

It was great to read your post. The brownies story and pictures are cute (ok, all the pictures are really cute).

I'm guilty of buying craft stuff and not finishing what I'm already doing. I have so many unfinished projects.

I can't believe he's going to be TWO!!!
