We had a Dr.'s appointment yesterday and Tucker is still growing strong. His heartbeat is as strong as ever and yes... he is still breech. So because I am pretty close to the end now we have to try and turn him "manually". This procedure is called an External Cephalic Version. I have talked to a bunch of people that have done it, and the majority say that it is not the most comfortable thing in the world, but it's worth it to try and avoid a c-section. So we have an appointment next Thursday with our Dr. to see if he has happened to flip on his own, and if not then to schedule the Version. The good outcome of this would be that he flips and stays down. :) However, there are some downfalls to a Version; the cord could wrap around the neck, his heart rate could drop resulting in an emergency C-section, he could flip...a full circle, or it could cause me to go into labor. For these reasons the Version has to be done at the hospital when my Dr. is on call, and conveniently enough next weekend (the 31st-2nd), my Dr. is on call at the Hospital. So we'll see how it goes. Any and all prayers are appreciated. I know that things will turn out fine in the end, it's just getting there. :)
For those of you who have asked, I will have pictures of Tuckers room as soon as it is done. My awesome VT's are doing a shower for me Thursday evening, so my goal is to have my friend Brittany help me on Friday to get everything finished up in his room. My Mom and I did a lot this weekend, but it's amazing that there are still things to get done. Mostly organizing all of mine and David's crap around Tuckers! :)

Oh sadness! I'm assuming he's still growing fast? As in, ahead of his due date? My doctor stripped my membranes two days before Ella came. I'm pretty sure that's why she came when she did. Sorry to hear he's butt down. Hope you don't have a c-section.
We will keep you in our prayers!
Hopefully you get him turned, but as someone who has had a section, it's not all bad. The important thing is that he is healthy. The second they handed me my daughter I couldn't have cared less how she came out. I love you.
Hey good luck with the doctors appointment...my girl is already in her position but who knows that could change...I will keep you in my prayers! I hope the best for your delivery!! He will be a cute baby!
Wow. I hope you get him turned around. Thanks for the picture too. Although I was having a hard time looking at it, "how in the world does the doctor get his hand up top like that?" I'm a little slow.
Y'all are in my prayers! Love ya!
Jenn, This is Holly, Jamie's friend. I came to your shower here in sacramento at olive garden. I was reading your blog, I'm sorry that your little one is breech. I thought my baby was breech for weeks, so I understand your stress. You'll be in my prayers.Good Luck
I have never heard of this procedure, but it sounds and looks simple enough right? I hope everything goes well for you, and I will keep you in my prayers. Take care, and don't stress, everything will be fine! How exciting that your going to have a boy! They are the best!!!
My only comment before I read what you wrote was "what the hell?" I know I'm so insensitive....that's why you love me. Hope this works!
